The choose investigating the assassination of Haiti’s president stepped down Friday, lower than two days after his clerk was killed, throwing the probe into additional disarray 5 weeks after the nation’s chief was gunned down in his residence.
In a letter, Choose Mathieu Chanlatte, the choose investigating the homicide of President Jovenel Moïse, stated he was submitting his resignation from the case for “private causes.” It couldn’t be decided whether or not Mr. Chanlatte’s exit from the case needed to do with the demise of his chief clerk, Ernst Lafortune.
