Interstate 25 is closing in a single day Wednesday and Thursday for building close to Monument.
The Colorado Division of Transportation is putting in a brand new bridge girder at County Line Street (Exit 163). The closure of the southbound lanes Wednesday night time and northbound lanes Thursday will every start at 8 p.m. and wrap up earlier than 5 a.m.
The closures come as a part of the 18-mile I-25 South Hole mission between Monument and Fort Rock, widening the freeway from two to a few lanes in every route. The $419 million mission is slated to complete in November 2022, with CDOT saying it’s on schedule and on finances.
To get across the closure, right here’s what CDOT can have you do:
Wednesday: Site visitors will detour by way of the off and on-ramps. The County Line Street bridge throughout I-25 will probably be closed. For native entry, use CO 105 by way of the Monument Hill Frontage Street.
Thursday: Site visitors will detour by way of off- and on-ramps. For entry to southbound I-25, go north on I-25 and switch round at Greenland Street, or use CO 105.
The County Line Street bridge was in-built 1964 and is certainly one of 5 bridges being changed alongside the 18-mile stretch of street.
