A soccer fan died after falling from an escalator at a Pittsburgh Steelers recreation towards the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.
The unidentified man reportedly fell nearly 40 feet close to Gate C contained in the stadium shortly after the Steelers misplaced to the Jets in a closing rating of 24-20. Pittsburgh Police and EMS responded to the scene shortly after his fall.
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police’s Violent Crime Unit is investigating the incident.
“Round 4:45 p.m. on October 2nd, Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS and Pittsburgh Bureau of Police inside Acrisure Stadium responded after an grownup male fell from an escalator,” the assertion reads. Paramedics administered care on scene and transported him in important situation to an area hospital. He later died from his accidents.
Steelers Spokesman Burt Lauten launched an announcement on behalf of the group shortly after the fan handed away. The assertion was obtained by WXPI Channel 11 News.
