Elton John wasn’t feeling the love on his twenty sixth birthday, so he inadvertently snubbed a serenade from Stevie Marvel that prompted his publicist to burst into tears.
“I felt such a horror. I felt so dangerous,” the music legend recalled of the 1973 incident on Wednesday’s broadcast of “The Tonight Present.”
In line with John, he’d needed to be left alone on a flight following a present that hadn’t gone effectively. His publicist repeatedly requested him to go to the bar. There, unbeknownst to him, Marvel was ready to sing “Completely happy Birthday.”
John relented after the publicist tearfully spilled the tea on the plan.
It was one thing “I’ll always remember and, as I say, I’m not very pleased with,” John informed host Jimmy Fallon.
